Azerishig OJSC

About the company: Bakielektrikshebeke OJSC was transformed into Azerishig OJSC in accordance with the order of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, dated February 10, 2015.  Purchasing electricity in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerishig OJSC is supplying electricity to consumers in reliable, safe and efficient manner, applying new technologies in this area, upgrading a material-technical base, using it efficiently, as well as doing other work aimed at development of this area.
40 units of 110kV substations and a circular supply scheme have been built since 2006. It played an important role in ensuring regular, sustainable and high quality power supply. Over 141 units of 35 kV substations have been built so far. Since 2006, an installed capacity of the power grid has been increased three times, while technical losses have been reduced down to 9.9%. A modern distribution control room was built. Azerishig OJSC carries out reconstruction of all its administrative buildings, attaches special importance to introduction of information-communication technologies. Prior to 2006, the power supply had not met the requirements coming from the rapid social-economic development of the country,  while now this balance improved as additional technical and power capacities ensuring perspective development of the country were created. In general, complex measures taken in the energy management of the country indicate that it is the human factor lying in the basis of the development pattern of Azerbaijan and the state building philosophy.
There is a call center #199 operating within Azerishig OJSC’s system. Consumers can receive answers to all questions they are interested in 24 hours a day and witness operative solution of technical issues concerning power supply.
Wind farms in Yeni Yasma and Shurabad settlements were passed to Azerishig OJSC in order to increase the efficiency of the wind energy use, as well as to carry out full testing of electric network of the wind power plants. This can be a start of the new stage for the OJSC.
